We are very happy to share that Transformations: A DARIAH Journal was onboarded in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) at the end of the summer https://doaj.org/toc/3095-3200. This significant achievement comes two years after the launch of the Journal, recognising all the significant work carried out by the editorial team on editorial organisation and thanks to Episciences’ team.
DOAJ is the most important community-driven, open access service in the world and has a 20+ year reputation for advocating best practices and standards in open access. Journals that are indexed in DOAJ meet a long list of more than 40 criteria demonstrating their Open Access policy in terms of copyright, licensing, business model and editorial management.
The Editorial Board of Transformations managed to build the different facets of an Open Access publishing, demonstrating compliance with DOAJ best practices.
A detailed evaluation of how Transformations meets these criteria is presented by DARIAH’s Open Science Officer and Managing Editor of Transformations, Françoise Gouzi in DARIAH Open: https://dariahopen.hypotheses.org/2828
