The Helsinki Digital Humanities Summits are scientific in-person event for researchers who use digital and computational methods in the humanities and social sciences. Its scope is deliberately broad, covering history, languages, literature, cultural and heritage studies, the social sciences and related fields. It is open and free to everyone, whatever their institution, discipline or career stage. The next HELDIG Summit "Methodological encounters" will be a day dedicated to give a snapshot of digital research, brining about discussion around three themes: digital history, digital social sciences and digital heritage. We invite you to contribute to this event with a 5 minute flash-talk or poster from recent or ongoing project(s). The Summit is a good opportunity to give visibility to latest research and tools, get inspired by methodological innovations in similar fields, and make new connections.
This year, we bring discussion around "Methodological encounters beyond disciplines" What challenges in data processing new methods enable us to overcome? How to maintain and adapt our research tools to fast-changing technological landscape? How to target the use of AI responsibly in the research cycle?
The Summit will take place at the University of Helsinki on December 4 (10:00-18:00) a day dedicated to flash talks, poster slam and networking. The deadline to contribute to the programme has been extended to Wednesday, October 28th. Please submit your contribution to this form.
