The DARIAH-EU Working Group ELDAH (Ethics and Legality in the Digital arts and Humanities) has recently launched a call for translations of the Consent Form Wizard, currently available in English. The Consent Form Wizard (CFW) is a tool launched by the Working Group in 2020 that provides GDPR-compliant consent form templates for DH research purposes.
The call for translations is aiming to address the need expressed by the community for having the tool in their own language, as the consent forms are often handed out to research subjects who might be alienated or overburdened by signing a consent form in English.
The ELDAH team has developed an easy-to-use interface for translating the tool. If you would like to provide your national community with a version of the CFW in your own language, all you need is a translator and a person with legal expertise in your own country to check the legal terminology in your translation.
Please send your expression of interest to translate the CFW to your national language to eldah@dariah.eu until 30 April 2021.
