Professor of the History of Philosophy at Università di Verona (2003-present); director of the Institute for the European Intellectual Lexicon and History of Ideas of the National Research Council of Italy (2009-2012); and director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council of Italy (2012-2017). Organiser of the conference SIS-RRI, which issued the Rome Declaration on Responsible Research and Innovation (2014). Elected full member of the Institut International de Philosophie (2012) and appointed national expert of the H2020 Programme Committee Configuration Research Infrastructures (2014-2020).
