Going to Ljubljana:
Ljubljana airport (http://www.lju-airport.si/en/Main) has connections with mayor hubs in Europe with diverse carriers; Slovenia’s national carrier is Adria Airways (https://www.adria.si/en/) with flights to/from most European countries. Airport is located app. 30 km from the Ljubljana itself, public transport is organised by bus (every full hour), shuttle service or taxi.
You can also take a flight to near airports (app. 2 to 3 hours transfer time) in Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka, Klagenfurt, Graz, Trieste or Venice. Shuttle service to Ljubljana is established. The most commonly used carrier is GoOpti. Transfer reservations are possible via their web page (https://www.goopti.com/en/transfers).
Venue:
Ministry of Education, Science and Sport (http://www.mizs.gov.si/en/), Masarykova cesta 16, 1000 Ljubljana (https://www.google.si/maps/place/Masarykova+cesta+16,+1000+Ljubljana) with additional rooms in the neighbouring building at Kotnikova ulica 38, 1000 Ljubljana. The venue site is in the administrative area in vicinity of Ljubljana’s main railway and bus station, in walking distance of the city centre and old town.
Getting around in Ljubljana:
Most of the hotels, venues and city centre itself are within walking distance. Public transport is provided in the form of a bus service. Bus rides are paid with special Urbana cards (payment with cash is not possible) which cost 2 Euro to obtain and need to be filled with credit. A single ride costs 1.20 Euro. Hotels:
Any accommodation in the central part of Ljubljana is within walking distance of the venue. The most comfortable solutions are Hotel Park, Central Hotel or City Hotel. Hotels are selling out fast.
