Following our earlier ‘save the date’ announcement, we are delighted to provide you with further details about the DARIAH-EU Annual Event which will take place from 10-13 October at the Ghent University Convention Centre, ‘Het Pand’ in Belgium, hosted by DARIAH-BE.
DARIAH activities
The formal DARIAH-part of the event will start after lunch on Monday 10 October and will continue until late afternoon on Tuesday 11 October. During this time there will be updates from the DARIAH-EU team, including a ‘Towards a DARIAH Strategic Plan’ workshop where ideas around the development of a data reuse charter will be discussed. Tuesday morning will be dedicated to the DARIAH-EU Working Group activities including lightning talks and a working group marketplace.
Additionally, before, after and during the event, there will be a number of opportunities for colleagues to organise DARIAH-EU Working Group meetings or organise workshops. The Working Group coordinators will contact about this you shortly.
Digital Arts and Humanities Lab
From 16:00 onwards on Tuesday 11 October we will open up the event beyond the DARIAH community by organising a Digital Arts and Humanities Lab. This interactive session will bring together researchers, technologists, data scientists and cultural heritage professionals, to demonstrate and engage with data, tools and services around the theme of digital arts and humanities. A call for participation will be launched shortly.
