DESCRIPTION:The fourth workshop for “Higher Education Programs in Digital
  Humanities: Challenges and Perspectives” will be held at the 4th DHNord
 ic conference.\n\nIt aims to bring together scholars\, educators and other
 s interested in different aspects of Digital Humanities and Social Science
 s education to explore the current potential and challenges and opportunit
 ies related to the teaching and learning in these fields. The workshop wil
 l provide an opportunity to share experiences\, discuss existing programs\
 , modules and courses\, research\, training and development activities\, e
 valuation approaches\, lessons learned\, and findings. A further objective
  is to systematically engage in discussions in common areas of interest wi
 th selected related communities and to investigate potential co-operation 
 and concrete collaborative activities.\n\nThe workshop will allow major es
 tablished programs and initiatives to report results\, newcomers to intera
 ct with established people in the field in order to allow the entire commu
 nity to critically discuss topical issues. The DHN venue encourages partic
 ipation by teachers\, researchers and developers from different perspectiv
 es (reflecting the different conference threads). As the fourth workshop o
 n education at DHN\, it is envisioned as part of a workshop series taking 
 place at annual DHN conferences in order to establish and provide a regula
 r forum for discussions on education in Digital Humanities and Social Scie
 nces in Nordic countries and beyond.
