SUMMARY:Wanted: Social Media Data. Archiving Practices and Research Use
DESCRIPTION:During this conference\, the main research results of the BESO
 CIAL research project will be presented. The potential of social media da
 ta for research and social media archiving practices will be discussed dur
 ing the keynote and two panel discussions. International and Belgian spea
 kers will share their expertise on topics such as using tweets as histori
 cal sources\, lowering barriers to access the archived web\, the opportuni
 ties and challenges of doing social media research and getting started wit
 h social media archiving with limited resources.\n\nThe colloquium is a ti
 me to come together and reflect further about social media archiving pract
 ices and research use. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #BELsoci
 almedia on Twitter.\n\nThis colloquium is organised with the support of th
 e BRAIN-be programme at BELSPO and the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique.
  It is a hybrid event with online participation via Zoom and in-person par
 ticipation in the Auditorium at KBR.
