DESCRIPTION:Date: 28 September 2020 – 11:00 to 12:30\nLocation: Online\
 n\n \n\nSSHOC (Task 5.2) is developing a data repository service for SS
 H institutions. The new service is built upon the Dataverse software and
  will be adjusted to the needs of the European research infrastructures.\n
 \nDataverse is an open source software platform\, community driven\, and a
 llows integrations with other data services such as DataCite or ROpenSc
 ience. It has a modular design principle using API’s\, that allows for d
 istributed file storage\, and supports the building of further microservic
 es on top.\n\nWe would like to discuss with potential interested researche
 rs and institutes of the DARIAH community what your ideas about such a ser
 vice are:\n\nWould your research institute like to use the SSHOC Datavers
 e\, when available?\nWould you as a researcher like to use Dataverse?\nWha
 t are your requirements?\nHow much localization is needed?\nWould you like
  to use a central service in the cloud or an installation on your institut
 ional environment?\n\n \n\nThe webinar starts with a presentation of the 
 current functionality\, followed by a presentation of new features to be d
 eveloped. After these presentations we will collect input from the audien
 ce. The discussion will focus on essential requirements for such a service
 \, preferences\, organisation\, necessary training.\n\nThe webinar will be
  chaired by Marion Wittenberg\, service manager of DataverseNL at Data
  Archiving and Networked Services (DANS)\, together with her colleague La
 ura Huis in ‘t Veld\, functional manager\, and Péter Király\, researc
 her and software developer at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.\n\nTh
 e event is intended for researchers\, research institutes\, staff of unive
