SUMMARY:Programming and Data Infrastructure in Digital Humanities
DESCRIPTION:Programming in Digital Humanities (DH) is one of the most chall
enging topics in this field of knowledge and research. Unfortunately\, a s
ignificant number of DH’ers coming from areas of knowledge such as liter
 ature\, philology\, history\, etc.\, still experience great difficulties
when it comes to use programming languages to handle their data and displa
y it. This meeting aims to address these difficulties and discuss the late
st developments associated to programming in DHs by bringing together scie
ntists from different areas within the community.\n\nThis online conferenc
e is organised by the High Performance Computing Chair. The HPC Chair is a
R&D infrastructure (based at the University of Évora)\, endorsed by Hew
lett Packard Enterprise (HPE)\, and involving a consortium of higher educa
 tion institutions\, research centres\, enterprises\, and public/private or
 ganisations.
