DESCRIPTION:The Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon is a chance to experi
 ence an interdisciplinary research project from start to finish within th
 e span of 1½ weeks. For researchers and students from computer science a
 nd data science\, the hackathon gives the opportunity to test their abstra
 ct knowledge against complex real-life problems. For people from the human
 ities and social sciences\, it shows what is possible to achieve with such
  collaboration. As a CLARIN and DARIAH summer school\, the event will b
 e truly international welcoming applications from all over Europe. This ye
 ar’s event is also a SSHOC training event while the NewsEye project will
  also have a strong presence at the hackathon.
