SUMMARY:EURISE Workshop: Software Sustainability within Research Infrastruc
 tures
DESCRIPTION:The infrastructures CESSDA\, CLARIN and DARIAH under the umbrel
la of the EURISE Network\, the European Research Infrastructure Software E
ngineers’ Network\, invite you to participate in their joint workshop on
Digital Infrastructure Sustainability. The workshop will take place in Ut
 recht\, NL\, on March 12 (from 15:30) and March 13 (until 15:00)\, 2019. S
ome of the topics we would like to discuss are: Developer Guidelines and B
est practices\; Software Quality Measures and Assessment\; Infrastructure
Service Management\; Infrastructure Security\; Business Models and Sustain
ability\; What role do Research Infrastructures play in Research Software
Engineering and more.\n\nAbout the EURISE Network:\n\nThe infrastructures
CESSDA\, CLARIN and DARIAH develop and provide services by and for the res
earch community of the Arts\, Humanities and Social Sciences. While their
individual foci address different scholarly needs of the various disciplin
es\, the underlying technological challenges of distributed digital infras
tructures are very similar. The EURISE Network was established to facilita
te the collaboration in this area and to align technological strategies am
ong the infrastructures and with the wider Research and Software Engineeri
ng Community and their intersection in particular.\n\nAbout the event:\n\n
Following their common workshop on “Software Sustainability: Quality and
Re-Use” in 2017 they created the European Research Infrastructure Softw
are Engineers’ Network. Moving on from concrete issues of software devel
opment\, this second workshop will address a variety of questions relating
to infrastructure operation. This includes both technical and administrat
ive matters that need to be addressed to provide high-quality services for
the European Open Science Cloud. The topics range from technical requirem
ents to meeting the EOSC standards through administrative aspects of servi
ce management up to suitable business models.\n\nRegistration \n\nFind mor
e information and register for the workshop here.
