SUMMARY:DARIAH-FI workshop “Reuse & sustainability: Open Science and
social sciences and humanities research infrastructures
 ”
DESCRIPTION:Research practices in core humanities fields have developed ove
r centuries\, in contrast to the revolution in digital methods that is hap
pening at breakneck speed. New methods are definitely out there\, but it m
ay prove difficult to change best practices in a particular field without
national collaboration. Simultaneously\, as data-intensive social sciences
and humanities (SSH) research transitions from project-based tools toward
s national and international research infrastructures\, new questions abou
t sustainability arise.\n\nHow can we ensure that the data and tools used
in Digital Humanities and Social Data Sciences are reusable?\nWhat can new
SSH research infrastructures learn about sustainability and distributed i
nfrastructure networks from more established RIs in natural sciences?\n\nT
his workshop is organised by DARIAH-FI and supported by DARIAH-E
