SUMMARY:DARIAH Virtual Annual Event 2020: Scholarly Primitives
DESCRIPTION:Virtual | Papers and poster sessions: November 10-13\, 2020
\n\nWorkshops\, Synergy sessions and Working Group meetings: October 7 –
December 2 (weekly sessions)\n\nTopic of this year’s event is Scholarly
Primitives.\n\nTwenty years after John Unsworth first formulated scholarl
y primitives as a set of recursive and interrelated functions that form th
e foundations of research activities across disciplines\, theoretical fram
eworks or eras\, the event will be an opportunity to revisit and freshly i
nterrogate both the notion and the scope of scholarly primitives. To what
extent does this particular set of scholarly primitives still correspond t
o our understanding of what humanities scholars do on a day-to-day basis?
Has our understanding of research workflows changed over time significantl
 y enough to require a new classification?\n\nTo register\, please log in t
 o find all information: https://dariah-ae-2020.sciencesconf.org/\n\nKeyno
te speakers \n\nWe are happy to announce that this year’s event will fe
ature two keynote speeches by John Unsworth (University of Virginia).
