Last October, UNED and its Center on Innovation and Digital Humanities hosted a very successful workshop on Digital Infrastructures in Spain. This workshop was organised in the context of the DESIR project and aimed in discussing the opportunities for collaboration in the area of infrastructures for current Spanish national projects, the contributions of DARIAH in this regard and to seek a consensus regarding the strategy of incorporation of Spain into DARIAH.
The workshop was proposed as a stage for dialogue on the current and future of Spanish digital infrastructures. Featuring presentations by DARIAH representatives, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, various Digital Humanities communities and the DESIR project itself, whose representation in Spain is coordinated by UNED, the workshop highlighted the important research activity undertaken in Spain in the field of Digital Humanities and the need for developing a national roadmap in terms of infrastructural planning.
